For more than a decade, our Conservation Program has been working to protect the rare flora of Utah and the Intermountain West. Our work with rare and endangered plants includes ex-situ conservation through our seed-banking efforts, and in-situ research such as population monitoring studies. Check out our current projects!

We are a partner institution with the Center for Plant Conservation (CPC), which is a national consortium of 33 botanical gardens and arboreta dedicated to saving America’s endangered plants. Check out the list of Red Butte Garden’s CPC species!
