In June 2009, Steve Martin, a long-time banjo player, played with the Steep Canyon Rangers on A Praire Home Companion, and began a two month tour. Since then, the collaboration has continued, including their 2011 album Rare Bird Alert, which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Chart. With smooth vocals, smart songwriting, ferocious instrumentals, jaw-dropping harmony, and, of course, Martin’s signature banjo, the band is bringing Bluegrass to music lovers around the world.
