They're often easy to overlook and not much attention is given to them by the average garden visitor,so I thought I'd put them in the spotlight today. They are the inconspicuous flowers of Red Butte Garden.

The first two photos are Utah natives.

The daffodils are as beautiful as ever! There are so many different types, sizes and colors it's hard to imagine without actually seeing them. My favorite is the kind with the orange throat.

It was such a nice day outside today that I just had to get out and see what was happening in the garden. As soon as I set foot on the floral walk I saw the most amazing display of daffodils! There are thousands! All different sizes and colors!

On Wednesday I was alerted to a great photo opportunity by our Fragrance Garden horticulturist Fritz.

It's amazing what these plants can tolerate!

Bill, the assistant curator and I went up into the Natural Area of Red Butte Garden last Friday for our first official hike of the year.

It was a rather cool day as a storm was coming in, but the overcast sky allowed for some great photos.

As we started up the trail we were welcomed by a friendly ground squirrel.
