(Buddleja davidii 'Pink Delight'


This large, native cousin to Bitterbrush (Purshia tridentata) grows 3-12 feet high and sometimes becomes tree-like in the wild.
It's evergreen foliage and pale yellow flowers are pleasantly fragrant. Feathery seed heads cover the plant after flowering is through.
Sunburst St. Johnswort (Hypericum frondosum 'Sunburst')
This popular bluish-green, mounding shrub bears large flowers with
striking, bushy center stamens. The reddish-brown fruit capsuels ripen
around September and persist well into the winter.
The Sacred Datura is a member of the nightshade family (which also includes tobacco, and food crops such as potatoes, tomatoes and chile peppers). Datura is a perennial herb which grows from a tuberous root to 2-5 feet in height and 3-6 feet in width. It has dark green leaves which grows to 6 inches long and are oval or heart shaped.
Chamomile is a low-growing plant with finely divided leaves. The daisy-like inflorescence has yellow disk flowers in the center and silvery-white ray flowers surrounding them.
When crushed, the plant gives off a scent similar to apples or bubblegum.

Things have been busy here at Red Butte. The horticulturists have been busy in their respective gardens making sure the plants are looking their best and the greenhouse crew have kept the Visitor Center and Orangerie bright with color.
