Femi Kuti is the undisputed inheritor of the genius of his father, Nigerian Afro-beat superstar Fela Anikulapo-Kuti. Femi's version of Afro-beat is the most exciting new sound to emerge from Nigeria in years. His music takes a funky, jazzy, heavily percussive sound and mixes it with the freshness and exuberance of new R&B and dance music. His live performances are always jaw-droppingly vigorous, with Femi’s stage antics, swinging arms, and shaking hips all reflected the surging tempo. Femi Kuti proves that music can enrich the mind, body, and soul. 

In his most ambitious project to date, the Africa Project Tour, renowned musician Béla Fleck explores the origins of the banjo. His journey to Africa to explore the little known African roots of the banjo took him to Uganda, Tanzania, The Gambia, and Mali. For this adventure he will be joined by the world’s premier kora player, Toumani Diabate.
