Red Butte Garden is located just 5 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. Enjoy a garden tour or hike with our enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff or volunteers. They'll take you beyond what is initially apparent to the more subtle aspects of the Garden's splendor.

Guided tours are perfect for

Guided tours are approximately two miles and take about 1.5 hours.
Registration required 2 weeks in advance.

  • 1 - 15 people $20 plus admission
  • 16 - 30 people $40 plus admission
  • 31 - 45 people $60 plus admission

Groups with 12 or more Garden visitors receive a dollar discount per person on admission . Groups fees should be handled in one payment.

Birding & Natural Area Tours

Bring your binoculars and join us for an evening walk when the Garden and natural area are full of wildlife activity. Bullock’s Oriole, Western Tanager, Downy Woodpecker, and American Gold Finch are just some of the birds you are likely to see. Wear comfortable clothes and walking shoes. Meet in Visitor Center courtyard.
