Spring is in the Air

Here at the Garden, the birds are chirping and even the bees are buzzing. Spring is so close, one can smell it in the air. Today was warm enough I only needed a sweatshirt!
Winter Aconite (Eranthis hyemalis)
These might be tiny but they sure do brighten peoples faces. They can be seen along the Floral Walk and in the Medicinal Garden.
Dwarf Iris (Iris reticulata)
These little cuties are popping up all over the place.
Water Pavilion
Something tells me this beautiful winter scene won't be around much longer.
Cyclamen (Cyclamen coum)
A sure sign spring is near when these beauties come out. See them near the upper pond of the Water Pavilion.
Yellow Witch Hazel (Hamamelis mollis 'Primavera')
Always a joy to see this plant blooming in the Medicinal Garden.
Spring Meadow Saffron (Colchicum bulbocodium)
These bulbs are a new edition in the Water Pavilion, as this bed was recently redone. Can't wait to see what else this bed has in store.
Come enjoy this beautiful pre-spring weather up here at Red Butte Garden.
