Digital Membership Cards
Access the email from your smartphone and click the link that says "Download Membership Card", then from the page that opens, scroll down and click the “Add to Wallet” button as shown below.
Click “Add” when prompted. The card will automatically go to your iPhone’s Apple Wallet. It can be accessed in Apple Wallet at any time.
Android users will probably find it easiest to download the Google Wallet app from the Play Store on your phone or at wallet.google.
Once you have the Google Wallet app installed, access the email with our digital membership card from your smartphone and click the link that says "Download Membership Card". On the page that opens, scroll down and click the button with the Google Pay logo as shown below.
Finally, click the "Add" button. The card will be saved to into the Google Wallet app, where it can be accessed at any time.
If you have an iPhone, check your Apple Wallet app. Android users should check their Google Wallet app.
For either app, scroll through any cards that are already there--it may be hiding!
If you still can't find it, you can always return to the original email titled "Your digital membership cards!" to find the link to re-download your membership card.
Yes, if you are an active member, we can check your photo ID at entry. However, you will need proof of valid membership if using reciprocal admission at another garden in North America.
Members who do not wish to use a digital membership card or who do not have a smartphone are welcome to present a photo ID at the admissions gates upon entry.
You will be able to indicate the email address of the gift recipient(s) upon purchase and the link will be sent directly to them.
If you are a new member and have purchased a membership online or in-person at the Garden, a separate email with access to your digital membership cards(s) will be emailed to you within 24 hours.
If you are a new member and purchased your membership by mailing in a check and have provided us with an active email address, please allow up to 5 business days to receive your digital membership card email.
No. Instead, send the download links to your other members so that they can download their membership card themselves.
If you had added your Digital Membership Card to your phones digital wallet and you are using Google Wallet for Android users, your membership card will keep itself updated automatically. If you are using Apple Wallet for iPhone users, you will need at add your new membership card again to the wallet (you do not need to delete the old one first). You can then either remove the older digital card or leave it in your wallet.

Digital Guest Passes
- Digital guest passes are automatically attached to your account upon purchase, saving on paper and mailing expenses.
- Digital guest passes are fully-discounted, rather than the 2 for 1 discount offered by the physical coupon.
- One of the membership cardholders must be present to redeem the digital guest passes.
When you visit the Garden with an extra guest, simply let the front desk know that you’d like to use one or more of your guest passes and they will apply the discount to your order. One of the membership cardholders must be present to use the guest pass.
Each member automatically receives four fully discounted guest passes when they purchase a membership.
Guest passes went digital September 1, 2022. If you purchased your membership before that date, you received a 2 for 1 pass in your welcome packet. Missing your guest pass? Not a problem, email email@example.com and we’ll add some to your account asap.
Unfortunately, no. One of the cardholders must now be present to redeem guest passes. The great news is guest passes are now full admission discount, rather than 50% off.
