Qigong & Tai Chi in the Garden
REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR EACH DATE
Class will meet in the courtyard of Red Butte Garden. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early.
Earth Day Qigong - Tuesday, April 22
6-7pm
Join us outside at Red Butte Garden to celebrate Earth Day and deepen your connection to both yourself and the earth beneath your feet. Through Qigong, we'll ground ourselves, expand our awareness, and connect with the energy of the Earth. All while surrounded by the serene beauty of the garden.
What is Qigong?
Qigong (pronounced “chee-gong”) is a slow-moving meditation practice combining mindful breathwork and gentle movements to cultivate awareness of our Qi—our essence, our life force. By focusing on the present moment, we can release stress that often arises from dwelling on the past or worrying about the future. Come breathe deeply, expand your energy, and BE in the moment on this special Earth Day.
What to Bring:
- Comfortable clothes and layers (Utah weather can be unpredictable!)
- A water bottle to stay hydrated
- Shoes are optional—we will be practicing barefoot to feel the earth beneath us.
Who's this class intended for?
This class is suitable for everyone! Whether you’re an experienced practitioner, just a few weeks into your journey, or brand new to Qigong, all are welcome to join us.
When and where will we meet?
We’ll meet outside the main lobby at Red Butte Garden, upstairs in the courtyard, and walk together to the Ring Garden. Please arrive 10 minutes early to help us begin on time.
