Animals live in many areas throughout the Garden, but what makes each location so special? Each home offers something important and unique that helps its animal owner survive. Discover their secrets by exploring homes both above your head and beneath your feet.

Garden Bookworms

Calling all bookworms! Explore the exciting world of books this week at camp as you read stories inspired by nature, plants, animals, and more. Each day, you’ll complete fun art and science projects related to the day’s story like decorating flowerpots, crafting egg carton caterpillars, and creating your own story character. From hungry caterpillars to tea parties hosted by spiders, you won’t want to miss this week of literary adventure!

Colorful Cooking

From bright red tomatoes to leafy greens, colors abound in both the natural world and the kitchen! Come discover the colorful world of cooking as you explore the Garden with your taste buds. In addition to preparing easy, tasty snacks each day, you’ll also decorate an apron and create your own camp cookbook.

Fairy Tale Fun

Explore the world of fairy tales at Red Butte Garden! Each day will be filled with fun games, crafts, and experiments to discover the important role plants and animals play in your favorite fairy tales.

Surprising Superheroes

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a plant? Did you know the Garden’s plants and animals share the same powers as famous superheroes? From animals that use tools like Batman to flowers that stretch like Elastigirl, you’ll study a different superhero each day and discover which plants or animals share their unique superpowers. End the week by racing through an obstacle course to test your newfound knowledge in the ultimate superhero showdown!

Amazing Animals

Paws, claws, scales, or tails? What similarities and differences will you find among the animals living in the Garden? Through crafts, games, nature walks, and more you’ll discover the different features that make each animal special and explore why they like to call Red Butte Garden home.
